Business Buzz: New Zumba studio opens on Fourth Street

If you’re looking to get some high-quality exercise and have a fun time, there is a new Zumba business opening on Fourth Street.
Betsy’s Studios will open for business Monday and host a grand opening ribbon cutting Nov. 3, said Betsy Ortega, the owner.
The business is located at 125 B Fourth St. in downtown Hollister. The business will hold Zumba classes through the week with morning sessions for adults at 8:30 a.m. and later sessions at 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. There will be Zumba for kids Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 4 p.m., she said.
Ortega became interested in the popular form of exercise when a friend invited her to a class. She noted how she started losing weight and inches around the waste, and her instructor urged her to get certified.
As for Zumba itself, if locals aren’t aware: “It’s kind of like dancing and exercise at the same time. The party gets you into shape,” said Ortega, noting how new classes will be coming soon.
