The Kehriotis family is hosting a gala unveiling to share the newly remodeled restaurants, bar, lounge and pro shop at the Ridgemark Golf and Country Club. The event will also reveal the newly created Wisteria Courtyard.
The courtyard has a new fountain, an arbor where wisteria plants will grow up to create shade and will be furnished for dining or cocktails hours at future events. The dining room has new carpeting throughout. The lounge has tall bar seats and tables to round out the traditional seating, something Lori Castello, the banquet and catering director, said draws in a younger crowd. The lounge also has a new concrete bar, which Castello said she believes could be the longest bar in the county.
“We have been busier this year than even last year,” Castello said.
The lounge also has a new dance floor and she said Ridgemark posts the upcoming events online at their website. They have entertainment each Saturday night and will have a concert on the range with the Hollister Downtown Association on Sept. 15 featuring the Journey tribute band Evolution.
The Kehriotis family purchased the golf course and club in 2009 and quickly began upgrading the grounds of the golf course.
The developer also received approval for a commercial center from the board of supervisors in October, after its plans were initially denied by the planning commissioners. The supervisors reviewed the plans on appeal for the commercial site in September and asked the developer to bring the plan back for consideration after making a few changes to it.
In June, the golf course switched from a membership program to an annual card program. Under the new program, the monthly fee is $199 per month, down from $340. It includes no initiation fee, half-priced range balls and three free guest passes per year.
The gala unveiling for the recent upgrades is Aug. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. Complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Residents are asked to RSVP to (831) 637-8151.
