State Assemblywoman Anna Caballero will be the guest speaker at Lunch with Leaders next week.
Caballero, the Salinas Democrat who represents San Benito County, is scheduled to speak at the event running from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 23, next Wednesday, at San Juan Oaks Golf Club. Lunch with Leaders is a monthly event put on by the San Benito County Chamber of Commerce.
Caballero’s visit to San Benito County comes as state legislators are on fall recess – which might be cut short due to a variety of pressing bills to consider. One of those is Caballero’s proposal to float an $11.7 billion bond to fund a slew of water projects, which could have a major impact locally.
