The Hollister Chaos U19 girls club teamclub dropped a pair of matches last weekend, falling to the West Valley Arsenal 7-0 on Saturday and losing to the Redwood Force 3-1.

Against the West Valley Arsenal, the Chaos played with only 10 players, including several beginners, and arrived just 10 minutes before game time.

The Arsenal scored three goals in the first 20 minutes before the Chaos got warmed up, and the first half ended with the Arsenal ahead 5 -0.

The Chaos came back stronger in the second half and threatened to make a couple of goals, but the Arsenal keeper did a great job stopping the attack. The Arsenal scored two more goals late in the game, after the Chaos team grew weary in the mid-day heat and no subs.

However, the Chaos were paced by stellar efforts from defender Brittany Lobb, forward Rachel Maheu, center-midfielder and team captain Brittany Huth, and first-time goalkeeper Ashley Perreira. Other players of note were defender Kitra Brigantino and forward RoseMarie Guzman.

On Sunday, the Chaos played with 15 players instead of 10 and hosted the match at the new soccer field at Veteran’s Memorial Park.

The Redwood Force scored first on a nicely placed outside shot just out of Mary Von Urff’s reach.

After that, though, the Chaos dominated the game for about 20 minutes, getting off several shots while keeping the ball in the Force’s defensive third.

The Force was able to score a second goal about 30 minutes into the game.

In the second half, the Force scored just moments into the half, with their attacker getting behind the Chaos defense to score a one-on-one goal against Von Urff.

Brittany Huth, who played a fantastic game and showed great leadership, scored the Chaos’ only goal in the 60th minute, when she dribbled through and around four Force defenders to convert a one-on-one chance.

Brigantino, Maheu, Guzman, Lobb and Perreira, who played sweeper in Sunday’s match, played outstanding, as did sisters Brittany and Lizzy Schurig.
