Not to worry. Your editorial on charter schools has identified valid concerns. Charter schools in our county are an incomplete and distant idea.
San Benito County is one of the last counties in California without charter schools. As county superintendent, I have an obligation to study the potential impact of charter schools on our education community. Rest assured, no school will be chartered in San Benito County that is not accountable, both academically and fiscally.
