A child near Sunnyslope School hit a car while biking at a low speed this afternoon, but emerged with just a scraped knee, according to Sgt. Ray Celano of the Hollister Police Department.
“A kid rode his bicycle and hit a car at low sped and fell over,” Celano said. “And the person in the car took the kid home.”
The driver was not someone the child knew, but the youth accepted a ride home. The incident happened this afternoon and police were called to an area near Cedar and Memorial drives at 2:47 p.m.
“He did get counseled for going into a car with a complete stranger,” Celano said. “But the child is fine. He got a scrapped knee and that’s about it.”
