“After reading last week’s article about Sarsfield and his personal lawyer, the words ‘no accountability’ come to mind. Our out-of-town DA hires his own attorney to prosecute a high profile tax case with absolutely no experience whatsoever. Who is going to be responsible when this attorney screws up this case? We voted for our DA to do a job, so he should do that job, stop ‘passing the buck,’ and get his rear off his ‘office couch.'”

“Since when are we supposed to care that criminal defense lawyers don’t like the DA?

Boo hoo. I’d worry if they did like him. We had enough of that before, when justice was sold out by the good-old boys who controlled both sides of the courtroom.

Now, if we could just get those five little piggies feeding at the public trough to stop squealing.”

“I am a parent of a child whose father hasn’t paid any child support for more than one year. I have taken time off from work to go to court several times to hear, ‘this is your last chance to start paying your support or you’ll have to consider doing x-amount of days in jail for contempt.’ When is it really going to be considered to be his last chance? If contempts keep accumulating then why doesn’t someone do something about it! I feel this matter has been very unfair from the time this process started. I now feel all the deadbeat fathers know they can go on forever without paying support without any consequences. There are many single mothers in Hollister with this same problem.”
