City OKs loan for Buena Vista apartments

The Hollister council approved a $103,138 loan to a nonprofit organization to develop a 41-unit affordable apartment complex on Buena Vista Road.
The organization, Community Housing Improvement Systems and Planning Association, or CHISPA, plans to use the loan in an application letter for tax credits on the proposed project. The deferred loan is at a 3 percent simple interest rate over 55 years.
