I came to the first modern rally in 1997. I was just amazed by
the police presence. I have attended biker events all over the USA,
Europe and Australia. I have never seen such police presence as in
Hollister. I have never seen any need for extra police or even a
hint of trouble. I have attended one biker rally near Berlin for a
number of years and have never seen one policeman and again not one
incident of trouble.
Editor,
I came to the first modern rally in 1997. I was just amazed by the police presence. I have attended biker events all over the USA, Europe and Australia. I have never seen such police presence as in Hollister. I have never seen any need for extra police or even a hint of trouble. I have attended one biker rally near Berlin for a number of years and have never seen one policeman and again not one incident of trouble.
You people of Hollister have thrown hundred of thousands of dollars away for unneeded extra police protection. And now you will be throwing away even more money in lost revenues. Now you are going to have bikers coming with no venue.
A bunch of my friends will be coming for a memorial run of a fallen rider who was coming home from Hollister. We will probably be there only a few hours and have breakfast at the church or a lunch at Johnny’s. There’s no reason to for us to spend the weekend or spend any money. Hollister you have taken your golden egg and scrambled it.
