Hollister officials agreed to spend $290,000 on this building.

Hollister is getting a new payment center next to Old City Hall.
Council members last week OK’d the purchase of the building next to Old City Hall on Fifth Street that most recently housed Sharone’s, a store selling religious supplies.
The city plans to use the 2,900-square-foot building at 327 Fifth St. to house the finance department and payment center, currently operating out of Old City Hall where the planning department also functions. Prior to being located at Old City Hall, the payment center had been in the basement of the current Hollister City Hall.
The price is $290,000 but is contingent on an appraisal.
