Hollister council members Tuesday approved grant funds to pay for a new adoption trailer in the animal control division and a K-9 unit for the police department.
Council members voted 4-0 in approving $45,000 in grant funds for the adoption trailer, which can be taken out remotely, and $10,000 for the K-9.
Hollister City Council members accepted the dog from the local Wonder Woofs program along with a $10,000 grant from the state to equip it.
