The Crossover Academy seventh- and eighth-grade girls select development basketball team took second place at a two-day tournament last weekend in San Jose.

Competing at the Saints Basketball Club Spring Jamboree No. 2 Girls Basketball Tournament, Crossover Academy competed against some top teams from the Bay Area.

“I am very proud of the girls in the last seven weeks,” coach Vic Goodwin said. “They have taken to heart the Crossover Academy philosophy of conditioning, basic basketball fundamental skills and team play.”

The Crossover Academy Skill-Builder Development Team included Samantha Aceves, Maddie Lepore, Gabby Bollin, Nichole Zuniga, Molly McCullough and Vanessa Salgado. Other Academy team members include Breanna Bies, Alicia Frost, Kiley Delgado, Taylor Fabing, Megan Sabbatini and Danielle Carmona.
