It is often the case that faults in the flight of the ball are caused by faults in where you position it in your stance. The position effects the angle in which you strike the ball.

One error that many golfers make is placing the ball too far forward in their stance. What this does is accentuate a slice, and it also causes golfers to frequently hit behind the ball. The reason it makes a slice worse is it opens the shoulders too much at the setup. This open shoulder position causes the shoulders to aim left of your target. Aiming left will cause a cut-across motion and cut spin makes the ball slice.

Placing the ball inside your heel and making sure that the your shoulders are aiming down the target line creates a better and more direct swing plane. Your swing plane should come from the inside or the side of the ball closest to your body.

So, cut out that slice spin by placing the driver ball position inside your heel.
