Bethany Ellison of Aromas competed last weekend in Walnut Creek at the 2003 Age Group Synchronized Swimming Championships.

The three-day event drew over 200 swimmers from the Pacific and Central California Regions.

Ellison placed first in every event she swam in the Central Association – solo, duet, trio, & individual figures. This qualified Ellison to compete in the 2003 Age Group National Championships in Gainesville, Florida this summer.

Ellison has been swimming on the Monterey Bay Synchronized Swim Team since she was 7 years old and plans to become an Olympic contender in the sport.

Bethany attends San Juan School in San Juan Bautista and will attend Anzar High next Fall.
