It is too bad that people will voice their opinions when they do
not know the facts and they do not know who these people really
are. On July 4, 2003, I lost the most wonderful brother-in-law
anybody could ever have. He was an amazing person, law abiding,
loved his job and dearly loved his family. He told me once that he
had more in his family and friends than he ever knew was possible.
I have never known such a happy person. He had what most people
only ever dream of having. He felt God had given Him his dream.

This tragedy will affect his family and friends for the rest of our lives, especially his wife and children.

Robert Orabuena will someday walk free again. I hope he spends his days behind bars thinking about the poor judgment he made that day and I hope someday he will feel remorse and ask forgiveness. He will someday be with his family again and spend Christmas, birthdays and anniversaries with them, but the family of Joe Judnick will forever be imprisoned with this grief in our hearts.

I do not write this out of bitterness, I write this out of sadness. I guess I just wanted the world to know how much I loved him too.
