Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law, and a niece and nephew. Frank is survived by his loving wife Annie Le Piane of 36 years, brother Vincent, his sons; Mike of Gilroy, Jimmy of Paso Robles, David of Gilroy, and daughter Sondra, also of Gilroy, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, many brother and sister in-Iaws, and numerous nieces and nephews. The many friends and especially his best friend, Jim Fortino, of Gilroy, who was always there for him.

Frank was born and raised in San Francisco. He joined the United States Navy shortly after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He served proudly for 3 years as a 3rd Class Boatswains Mate, and was a reservist for 5 years. He was very proud to serve his country and loved sharing his experiences from those years, especially with fellow veterans. Frank was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Ribbon, American Area Campaign Ribbon and the Victory Ribbon.

His favorite past-time was baseball. He was the All American Guy.

He loved barbecued hot dogs and apple pie. He coached little league baseball and several adult teams over the years. He loved skeet shooting and hunting. He also enjoyed participating with his wife and friends in bowling tournaments. Frank and Annie found joy in traveling to Reno and Lake Tahoe for short vacations. They were inseparable; they were two peas in a pod.

He was employed by several different local employers prior to retiring in 1989. He then took on the task of part-time manager of Pacific Mobile Estates, then a couple years later became full-time manager until 2006.

Frank was a good husband and father. He will be missed dearly.

Military memorial services in his honor will be held at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, Gilroy, CA. on Friday June 22 at 10 A.M. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Hollister.
