Gavilan Rams

Gavilan kicked off the inaugural sand volleyball season with a bang. 
Raelynn Heredia and Jessica Stofer led the way with a 6-1 record, earning them a third place finish out nearly 30 teams at the Coast Conference Individual Kickoff Tournament March at Rio Del Mar Beach.
Teammates Daisy Valladares and Alexia Ballisteri made it to the semifinals of the silver bracket, following their 2-2 record in pool play. Rams Ryan Asp and Brittani Siaz also made it to the semifinals of the silver bracket. 
Samantha Nydam and Karina Daniel went 4-0 in pool play before losing in the first round of the tournament bracket. 
Gavilan will be back in sand on Friday to face off with West Valley and Foothill Colleges at West Valley. 
SOFTBALL
Rams fall to Foothill
The Gavilan softball team dropped its eighth straight game, falling 7-3 to Foothill at home Tuesday. 
Stats and scoring from this game is not yet available. 
The Rams (4-16 overall, 0-6 in league) will be back in action at 3 p.m. Thursday at Ohlone.
