On NBC11 news, California Assemblyman Ray Haynes opposed same
sex marriage by saying of the LGBT community,

..they are trying to redefine marriage as being based on
‘sex.’

Well, it isn’t the LGBT Community trying to change the
Constitution to read that marriage be only between individuals of
the opposite sex.

He must not believe that two people of the same sex can really love each other in their hearts for a lifetime, regardless of gender. If love in the heart was preeminent to this man, why won’t he support marriage between any two people that fall in love, regardless of their gender?

The only reason he is not wanting marriage for same sex couples is because he is against the sexual relationship they have. By him saying that we have to be of the opposite sex in order to marry, he is trying to define marriage based on sex. Same sex couples want to marry because they love someone enough to do so and also they are fighting for it because others say they can’t marry even though they love one another.

Many anti-gay people however, support marriage ONLY for those of the opposite sex, so they are basing it on sex not love in my opinion.
