A localized spinoff on the hit TV series “Glee” – a full-length, feature film called “Gleeful!” that was filmed in South County and stars actors from Gilroy, Morgan Hill, Hollister and San Francisco – is hitting the big screen.

“Gleeful!” is the brainchild of John Bisceglie, founder of the highly popular Gilroy Children’s Musical Theater. As Bisceglie’s first film, “Gleeful!” is a dance/singing extravaganza showcasing 170 actors between the ages of 5 and 25.

“Gleeful!” will show at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on the following dates at CineLux Theaters, located at 750 Tennant Station Way in Morgan Hill:

-Sunday, March 11

-Sunday, March 25

-Sunday, April 1

-Sunday, April 22

The doors will open 30 minutes prior to showtime. Tickets are sold online or by phone only; no tickets will be sold at the door. The cost is $14.45 per person.
