The open’s field of golfers grows again, including the addition
of a former Masters champion.
Another Major tournament winner added his name to the 2011 Frys.com Open field Tuesday.
Angel Cabrera, the 2007 U.S. Open and 2009 Masters champion, committed to play in the PGA Tour Fall Series event at CordeValle Golf Club in San Martin. Cabrera has posted a pair of top-10 finishes in 2011, and currently sits 132nd on the money list.
Also announcing their commitment to the 132-player list Tuesday are Kevin Na, Pat Perez and Brandt Jobe.
Players have until Sept. 30 to enter themselves into the tournament slated for Oct. 6-9. There is a $3 million purse with a $900,000 payout for the winner.
