Jordan Davies medaled with a 41 and the San Benito High girls golf team easily defeated visiting Watsonville 183-251 on Thursday at the Ridgemark Golf and Country Club in Hollister.

Davies’ nine-hole score was not only the lowest of the day, but anchored a Lady Balers squad that carded three rounds in the 40s.

San Benito’s five lowest scores, meanwhile, were better than Watsonville’s lowest.

Lady Baler Yumi Kimura finished just four strokes behind Davies with a 45, while LaShea Dailey recorded a 47. Jenny Glosser rounded out the team with a 50 at Ridgemark.

Teammate Emiley Palmquist shot a 54, while Nicole Rianda shot a 60.

The 183 is a vast improvement from the team’s 201 it shot last week at the Tri-County Athletic League Jamboree, which was held at Ridgemark.

For Watsonville, Jessica Padilla led the team with a 57. Rebecca Balogh carded a 58, while Kimberly Uzura and Bianca Espinoza each recorded matching 68s.

Yensia Gomez (74) and Tammy Mendoza (75) rounded out the team.

San Benito will return to Ridgemark on Monday for a three-way event. The Lady Balers will take on both Monte Vista Christian and Gilroy in separate dual meets.

Tee time is 3:30 p.m.
