Golf Roundup: Oakwood’s Poria wins big at Coyote Creek

Oakwood junior Amay Poria won the boys championship flight during the Junior Tour of Northern California Spring Series V on Sunday at Coyote Creek.

Poria was in control after he fired a 3-under-par 69 in the opening round Saturday to build a three-shot lead. He shot 1-over 73 on Sunday for a 2-under total of 142.

Hollister’s Ryan Han tied for third at 147. He was awarded the third-place medal following a scorecard playoff.
