Defending Frys.com Open champion Jonas Blixt is back in the field this year in what is possibly the tournament's final go-around at CordeValle.

The pool of talent for the Frys.com Open continues to grow.
Patrick Reed, the winner of Sunday’s Wyndham Championship, announced Tuesday that he will be playing in the PGA TOUR’s season opening tournament held Oct. 7-13 at CordeValle.
Reed is a rookie on the TOUR, hailing from Spring, Texas. He won consecutive NCAA Championships in 2010 and 2011 with Augusta State and has played the Frys.com Open the past two years on sponsor exemptions, making the cut each time.
The Frys.com Open already has early commitments from eight 2013 TOUR winners, including the defending tournament champion Jonas Blixt. Blixt also won The Greenbrier Classic earlier this season.
