Valley Christian won the title with a 7-0 record, while Westmoor (Daly City) was also 6-1.

Dean credited Jamie Flores with running the offense well and also Trisha Lee, Erika Rodriguez, Ashley Patton, Ashley Alnas and Stephanie Mauro for playing well at the guard spots. Johni Kiesewetter played strong on defense and got to the line frequently by driving to the lane.

Dean sent a ‘B’ team, which was made up of incoming and last year’s freshmen. That team went 1-4.

“They scored well and played with a lot of heart,” said Dean of his youngsters.

Nicole Lucas and Jordan Lee, younger sister of Trisha Lee, ran the offense and played well at the point. Ari Romero and Amanda Boyd fared well on offense, while Morgan O’Laughlin was strong on the boards.

“The whole summer has been a great success for us,” said Dean. “It will help us this season as we’re going to be very inexperienced at the varsity level. When we started the camp, no one in charge knew where Hollister was. They know now.”
