Hollister High outshot visiting North Salinas three-to-one, but the Balers were left with a 0-0 tie on the scoreboard in a Tri-County Athletic League boys soccer match Tuesday.

“We probably had 40 shots,” said Baler head coach Michael Warner. “Their goalie made some great saves and we shot over the net time after time.”

According to Warner, Baler striker Brian Vargas had “eight good chances”, but “couldn’t find the net”.

With three minutes to go, Jonathan Alous shot the ball over the Vikings goalie’s head, but the ball hit the post and over.

Hollister (6-4-2, 3-4-1) is at Salinas on Thursday. The Balers play their final match of the year next Tuesday vs. Palma. Seven seniors will be playing their last match.
