The Hollister Police Department announced the arrests of three suspects linked to a stabbing that occurred July 21 on San Felipe Road, according to the Hollister Police Department.
Police released a statement following the arrests Saturday. Police initially found the 21-year-old victim at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital on July 21. The victim, who is expected to recover, was uncooperative at the time.
According to the statement:
“Through the investigation detectives were able to determine that a physical altercation between the victim and three suspects occurred. During this physical altercation one of the suspects used a cutting instrument and inflicted serious injuries to the victim’s body.”
Police arrested Agapito Cavesuela, 21, of Watsonville; Daniel Gallegos, 19, of Hollister; and a 17-year-old male juvenile from Hollister, according to the HPD.
Police noted they are documented gang members. They were accused of attempted murder and other related charges, and were booked at the San Benito County Jail.The police department offered thanks in its statement to the Watsonville Police Department for its assistance.
