The Homeless Coalition of San Benito County is now leasing office space at 335 San Benito St., suite 200, in Hollister.
The coalition leased the space in late April. OneWorkPlace in Santa Clara donated office furniture, according to an announcement from the organization.
The coalition’s board held its first official meeting in the office on May 30.
The coalition also announced it received approval on a $150,000 state grant to help fund the upcoming winter shelter season. The county last fall was approved for a $1.5 million Community Development Block Grant, while the city will apply for similar funding next year so the project could then break ground.
