The Gavilan College men’s basketball team snapped a six-game losing streak Friday when it upended host De Anza College 72-55 in Coast Conference action.

The victory supplies the Rams with their first victory in South Division play. Gavilan is now 1-5 in the South and 6-14 overall.

De Anza, meanwhile, is 0-5 in the South and 2-16 overall.

The Rams will open the second half of their conference schedule on Friday when they will host San Jose City College in Gilroy. The Jaguars previously defeated Gavilan 82-59 in its first meeting on Jan. 6.

Tip-off is 7 p.m.
