For the last few years I have felt this county is overdue for a
change. People of this county did a great job in defeating Measure
G. If it had passed we would be walking backwards. I hope the
people keep their eyes on the supporters of Measure G. They are
like termites. When we think they’ve been eradicated, they are
right back digging again.
Dear Editor,
For the last few years I have felt this county is overdue for a change. People of this county did a great job in defeating Measure G. If it had passed we would be walking backwards. I hope the people keep their eyes on the supporters of Measure G. They are like termites. When we think they’ve been eradicated, they are right back digging again.
With a win of 69 percent, people have shown a desire for change to turn this county in a different direction. We can see a little difference in people’s attitudes. I feel our Free Lance has been doing a great job informing the public and writing its opinions. People also have been coming out with more letters to the editor.
I am interested in reading people’s opinions. I wish to see the day that the Free Lance has enough letters to the editor to fill a whole page. Don’t be afraid to write. Once you talk from your heart and tell the truth you can’t be wrong. Remember that seeds don’t grow in a sack.
I like to read letters with common sense about the future. This county is what it is today because people with an interest shared opinions. Four eyes are better than two. Seems to me that when people lose interest it’s caused by bad government. You can make a difference if you compare the good ones, the ones who succeed. You will go no place comparing the crooks or the bums. There is enough of both around you can learn one way or the other. It is always an honor to be on the good side. Life is short you can pick out whether to enjoy it or be miserable. It is not easy to be a saint, but it is great to be normal.
I would like to advise our new supervisors, when they take office, first don’t let it go to your head. Take your time to learn. We can wait. Do your home work so you don’t have to depend on the staff. Think hard before making decisions. Remember there are many out there watching for your mistakes or weakness. Always think about the hyena. A good future for the county depends upon intelligent supervisors. God bless. This is just my opinion.
