This letter is about the word “think.” I have been a thinker starting at a very young age. Growing up in a poor country with so many problems, thinking is the most important thing to succeed.
We left our home country thinking about a good future in a new world. With that attitude, when we got here, we felt good about what we found and were accepting like an adopted son would appreciate his new parents. That doesn’t mean that we stopped thinking about the ones who gave us life or the country we grew up in. Those things are unforgettable.
If you continue to think you will always cary the past and future with you. We were very satisfied with the way we were accepted. After 46 years here, we think so much with appreciation for the ones who welcomed us. We think so much about the ones who encouraged us. We always think about the ones we learned with. We think about and appreciate the ones we found with the patience to teach us what was so new to us.
When you are inclined to think, when you are inclined to learn, it helps the ones who volunteer to help you. Things turned out better than we expected.
There are people who like to think. Those people always succeed. It’s the others who are satisfied just thinking to walk who don’t mind having others think for them. Unfortunately, they are not very successful.
I feel with thinking I have been a success. I’m always alert and always thinking. I have been thinking so much for so many years that I don’t know how much longer I will be able to do so much thinking.
I have been reducing thinking now most for me and wife of 53 years. I am afraid if we live long enough, we may not be able to do our thinking. If there is a day we can not think for ourselves then, O’ God, have mercy on our souls. If it happens, in our hands, we give our souls. We know that we would be in good hands. Sure, God, we trust well that you will carry on our thinking. We did the thinking for four elderly relatives. We did our best thinking to make them as much comfortable as we could. I hope if we get to that point we trust you, God, to do our thinking.
This word, “thinking,” has so much impact I could write a book about it. Thinking is so important that you can prevent an accident. Good thinking can prevent you from doing things twice. Good thinking can make you a good student, a good leader, a success in a business, a good reporter, etc., etc., etc. We have been competing in the Olympics; a good thinker might pull out gold medals. So don’t forget to keep thinking if you would like to be a success. I enjoyed thinking while writing this letter. God we pray that you protect our minds so that we can keep thinking.
