Volleyball: Anzar looks to rebound from tough 2013 season

Gavilan women’s volleyball bounced back from a defeat to Cabrillo two days earlier to beat visiting Hartnell in three straight games Friday: 25-14, 25-12, 25-22.

The Lady Rams (12-8) have now won three of their last four matches to tie the total amount of wins the club had a year ago.

Freshman Bri Romero led the way for Gavilan with 12 kills, Jamie Skocko had 29 assists and Nicole Falcao added 19 digs. Arica Hernandez and Cheyenne Hambey had nine and seven kills, respectively, for the Lady Rams.

Chabot College will visit Gavilan on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. for a non-conference match. The Lady Rams will then host West Valley at the same time on Friday.
