Letter: Cigarette butts are gross

Cigarettes are gross
As you walk down the streets of downtown Hollister you can see cigarette butts everywhere. Cigarette butts are the most discarded waste. As an effort to keep the City of Hollister looking more appealing, the San Benito County Youth Tobacco Coalition conducted a tobacco waste cleanup. The youth collected a total of 2,010 cigarette butts in one hour. Cigarette butts are not only gross are also harmful. I wrote a letter about our findings. I feel that it is important that the community knows what our youth are doing to keep our city streets cleaner. I would really appreciate you publishing this letter to the editor piece.
