The staff and clients of the homeless shelter would like to thank the community for their generous outpouring of love, time and support.
Thank you for all of the donation of clothing, toiletries, sleeping bags and other gifts that came as such a blessing to those that needed them. We especially appreciate the many organizations, families and individuals who gave their time and talents to provide meals for the shelter this season. Without your efforts an important function of the shelter would not have been met.
We would like to thank the kids at YMCA for participating in Tricks for Toiletries, the Girls Scouts for their Christmas blankets, Peninsula Packaging for their food and clothing drive, the clients from Social Vocational Services for their underwear and sock drive, and to all of the other groups who put together gift packs of essential items.
Because of the community’s support, there were clients who were able to get jobs and even a place to live.
Special thanks to Eddie Escamilla for always accommodating our laundry needs, the Farm Labor Association for allowing us to lease the rooms, and a huge thank you go Tony Diaz for working alongside us to help make this past season such a success.
