The lines are more sharply drawn in this election than at any time since the Civil War. And there are similarities between the two periods. In Civil War times the Republicans were the party of freedom for the individual and the Democrats were the party of slavery. Today, once again, the Republicans are the party of individual freedom and the Democrats are the party of an all-powerful central government trumping individual rights.
There is no guarantee that we will be able to retain what rights we have left if Romney and the Republicans are elected; but they do represent a large amount of hope. On the other hand, if Obama and the other far-left radical extremists that surround him are elected for another four years, we are guaranteed to lose what rights we have left. The choice is clear; either we vote for a powerful central government controlled by crooked self-serving politicians and unaccountable bureaucrats under which we become subjects rather than citizens or we vote for a government of the people, by the people, for the people that exists according to the people’s will as envisioned by the founders. This is the last chance to save the country as we have known it, the last chance to save freedom.
