Ridgemark has been removing the trees while claiming they are old and diseased.

I am writing in reply to the opinion expressed in the March 20 Free Lance, by the Community Insight Board.
The report written about the new county tree ordinance and the tree removal at Ridgemark was very poorly thought out. And the writers were not well prepared.
The trees at JMK Golf were analyzed by arborists for their health. The trees removed were dead, or were sick, or were close to property lines and were therefore considered hazardous.
I am not able to see how this causes inconveniences for residences in other areas. And I don’t see how this helps JMK find other ways to make income.
It is certainly not very good for our community to write such junk about your neighbors and your supervisors as if they are enemies. Other counties have tree removal ordinances. Why not San Benito?
