Unofficial poll points to favorite candidate
The San Benito County Republican Party had a Straw Poll of
Republican Presidential hopefuls at the County Fair. It was very
unscientific. One voter voted for two candidates. Both votes were
counted. Write-in’s were also counted.
The results were somewhat surprising. Herman Cain received 35%
of the votes, Mitt Romney 19%, and Rick Perry 13%. Eleven
individuals received one or more votes. The margin of error was
probably at least 10%. Complete results can be found at
