There are two topics I read about in the May 1 paper. One is by Dr. Anju Goel. And she mentioned that San Benito County is one of the counties with the most chlamydia in the state of California. This is horrible. We need to help the people, and educate them. They need somewhere to turn to and get the help they need to reach out to these kids and adults and teach them. You can put this in the paper, but are they going to treat the people and help them? Kids are at risk of getting this. Are they reaching out to the schools? Is something going to be done? They should do something about this, before they put it in the paper. Public safety means a lot to me. There are a lot of problems going on; I bet there are more problems than this.
The other topic is the overweight and obesity problem. The mayor and city council and county know about this matter. They should do work shops where people can come and get some knowledge on things like this, places they can go to get help. Do low-cost programs and workout sessions that people can afford. I am disabled and use a wheelchair and I lost 65 pounds. I work out on a stationary bike, and go walking, do sit-ups in bed and all sorts of things. It took hard work and dedication. But, I have the knowledge and I have tried to reach out to the people. I urge anyone who needs help losing weight or eating right to contact me. ke*******@ym***.com. Thank you again for the people who have wrote to me. I appreciate it and want to help anyone. Love yourself and show love to others. I have the tools to fix the problem and it does not cost any money. I see they put the one health checkout line, but is that all they are going to do? We need a bigger solution to this problem. They can talk all they want, but they need to get things done. I have shown people that it can be done, mind over matter. Between the city and the county, they make it like it’s very difficult, but it is not. Just like the roads need to be fixed. I walk down Sunnyslope Road all the time and it is so horrible to walk. They pick and choose who they want to be a part of the city; I have been trying for years. I have written many times to the mayor and the councilmen, and city manager. Nothing has been done. I am the man who says it and is not scared of it. If a problem needs to be taken care of, then I will find a solution and solve the problem. I use these tools in everyday life and I could do it in all aspects.
Anything is possible, and I want the people to know it can be done. Push yourself and do not give up. Just like my father is a war veteran, he was a tank driver and was bombed. He was injured at war but, he beat the enemy and helped other soldiers and received a purple heart. But he stayed strong and overcame it. One of my best friends was in the Air Force and now is in a wheelchair. I have so many family and friends who fought in the Navy and Army, but you can overcome and fight through. But there needs to be more help for our people. They talk about having all these workshops but they say one thing and do another. There is a wall that we have not climbed over yet. Our city and county are failing the course. I want to take this time to show love in remembrance for the veterans. Happy Memorial Day. P.S.: Don’t forget to shop local. Thank you.
