Thanks for the doughnuts

Thanks to J.B.’s editorial page, I now know what’s making conservatives angry. I do hope his next editorial will cover some of the wonderful things W, his beloved president, has done for our nation. Perhaps J.B. will touch on the “W prescription drug

program” for seniors. The wisdom of allowing insurance and drug companies to design the plan is a tribute to W. He did give instructions that nothing should interfere with company profit margins. Behold, “The W Doughnut Drug Plan”! The decayed liberal thought on this is: There should be no doughnut hole. The plan should be administered directly by Medicare with no thought of the profit margin for drug or insurance companies. The decayed left wing thought: Companies should not profit from the hardship and sacrifices of other Americans. J.B. will no doubt laud W for his staunch stand against decayed left wing thought concerning the 300-plus billion dollar surplus in the US Treasury when W took office. Those dopey liberals thought we should pay down the National Debt and try to leave our grandchildren a debt-free United States of America.

Two sides to every tale

I consider myself in the middle on most issues. But John Bagley’s article was a refreshing change for what I generally get when visiting California. I usually get one side of a story and not much else. Too many papers today try and put their own spin on what is happening and don’t give an opposing view. This happens a lot with the big newspapers (the New York Times) and should not happen at all in any of them. Mr. Bagley, I don’t know how often you are printed, but keep up the good work. And to the editor, please make this regular reading, as I would love both sides in any and all issues!
