Many Thanks to Those Who Support Relay For Life
Editor,
As our ninth annual Relay For Life approaches, we would like to thank all of the wonderful individuals and businesses from San Benito County who took time from their busy schedules last year to help us exceed our fundraising goal and dedicated their efforts in helping to find a cure and stomp out cancer!
A special Thank You this year to San Benito High School (Steve Greer and staff), the City of Hollister, the Hollister Free Lance, Assist-2-Sell (Richard Anderson), Hazel Hawkins Hospital, Earthbound Farms, the Kiwanis Club, the Top Hatters, Waste Management, the Army National Guard, Rabobank Bank and many, many more.
We couldn’t do it without everyone’s efforts; we truly appreciate all that you do.
We would like to invite all of you back again to this year’s event scheduled for Friday with Opening Ceremonies beginning at 5:30pm; Luminaria Ceremony is at 9pm. Closing Ceremonies will begin at 11 am Saturday.
On behalf of the 2007 Relay for Life Committee, we invite you to join us for a life-changing experience that you’ll want to be a part of year after year.
Let’s Relay! Many thanks again.

Reader Reverses Endorsement of Tres Pinos Hotel Project
Editor,
Weeks ago, I was talked into signing on my support for the hotel project in Tres Pinos. At first, I thought it sounded like a good thing.
However, later I found out that there are a lot of problems that I didn’t know about, especially for the people of Tres Pinos.
I found out that the hotel is in the wrong location. I found out about the problems with water and sewer, the parking problems, and a lot of other stuff. I found out that it hurts the people of Tres Pinos, and that’s not right.
I felt very badly about endorsing the hotel and realized I had made a mistake.
I would like to withdraw my endorsement of the hotel, and side with the people of Tres Pinos.
