Inspirational Article Showed the Importance of Family

Alice Joy’s article “Speech Helps Healing” (Feb. 1) about the Valencia family was a touching story. I am close to this family and think the story was not only touching but inspirational for all of us.
What I would like to add is that with this time in the world with the war, poverty and all the other turmoil going on the “family togetherness” is getting lost and forgotten.
We have two loving and strong families here that should be together not apart!
Families are what makes America strong and without families sticking together through the good times and the bad, what’s left for us to hold on to? Cherish what you have today for it may be gone tomorrow.
