Kelly Riggs has this tattoo in the works. It stretches down his leg as well, he said.

Kelly Riggs strolled through crowds along San Benito Street on July 4 with revving bikes in the background.
“I’ve lived here for 15 years. I love bikes. I’ve been riding bikes all my life. I love bikes. I like the scene.”
He explained a tattoo of the Status of Liberty blanketing his entire, bare back, as he walked around with a shirt off.
“I love our country so I’m representing that,” he said.
Riggs had the tattoo started about a year ago at Good Omen Tattoo in Santa Cruz.
“So it’s over time. It’s still got quite a ways to go yet. It goes down to the back of my legs.”
Down below his waist is an American flag, but he said there’s a lot more of the tattoo to go yet.
Periodically, he goes back to Good Omen and spends about four hours at each session. He has gone “many, many times,” he said.
Riggs said he enjoys having the rally in his hometown.
“It’s just great. Since I’m from here and I work here, I see a lot of people – friends, family.”
