A new pet spa and boutique has opened in downtown Hollister on San Benito Street. Bel Amour Pet Spa & Boutique opened March 21 at 730 B San Benito St.
The business celebrated its opening with an official ribbon cutting Monday hosted by the San Benito County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau.
The business provides grooming services such as baths and haircuts and it uses all-natural products, noted owner Cristina Campbell. There also is a boutique section selling clothes, leashes, shampoos and natural treats, she said.
Campbell has prior experience in the dog grooming business and she wanted to open a store in downtown Hollister because, she said, “I just really wanted to do it my way.” She said the spot offers a “place where (pets) can be happy and spoiled while they’re getting groomed.”
Bel Amour is open Monday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on Wednesdays when the business closes at 3 p.m. For information call (831) 635-5737.
