Genius Kids opening soon
Morgan Hill will soon be buzzing with giggles and laughter as kids of all ages will enjoy the new campus of Genius Kids, scheduled to open March 3 at 174 W. Main Ave. in Morgan Hill. Formerly the old post office, the red “barn” is now the home to the national franchise Genius Kids, which boasts 11 campuses in the Bay Area and growing. Corporate buy-sell agreements: What are they and do I need one?
I am often asked to help clients prepare the bylaws for their corporation after they have filed the articles of incorporation, obtained an employer identification number and opened the bank account. The discussion usually is directed toward maintaining control of the corporation; how can the client prevent other stockholders from selling or transferring their shares in the corporation to others in the future? You may benefit from filling an amended tax return
The IRS issued final regulations in June 2004 that retroactively increased the allowed depreciation on certain light weight trucks, including SUVs, and vans. Affected taxpayers must file amended tax returns by December 31, 2004 to take advantage of the increased deduction. Since 1986, the depreciation deduction available on vehicles that cost more than a statutory threshold, currently at $18,000, has been reduced under the so called "Luxury automobile" rules. In spite of the name, luxury automobiles included all vehicles but exempted certain heavy weight vehicles such as trucks, including SUVs, which have a gross vehicle rating in excess of 6,000 pounds.
