The eighth annual San Juan Bautista Ghost Walk is set for Oct. 28 and Oct. 29 in the Mission City.

Congressman Sam Farr is retiring after 23 years of representing San Benito, Santa Cruz and Monterey counties in Washington D.C. Some of his accomplishments include helping to establish Pinnacles National Park, obtaining federal funds for the local airport and advocating for affordable housing.

Javier Renteria is the epitome of redemption. After getting kicked out of San Benito High, then Santa Ana Continuation School—both for truancy—Renteria had a decision to make. He could start turning his life around or continue on a path that would’ve surely ended badly.

Hollister Airmen’s Association is proudly celebrating its 70th anniversary of serving the Hollister Municipal Airport and local community since 1946. The organization has worked with many groups on special projects, events and educational endeavors, and volunteered thousands of hours over those years.
