Mail-in ballots headed to voters this week
Mail-in ballots are headed to local mailboxes in the next week. The nearly 18,000 voters using the vote-by-mail system should receive their ballots in the next seven days, according to Angela Curro, assistant county clerk-recorder-registrar of voters, in a presentation to county supervisors Tuesday.

Eagle scout Jarrod Solis donated a new sign for Veterans Memorial Park. According to an announcement from the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9242 in which the organization thanked the scout, the donation to the sports complex “touched the heart of many veterans.” On Saturday morning, his parents, troop members and VFW veterans were there to support him.
