Affordable Solar Roofs awarded
Affordable Solar Roofs is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious Certified Green Roofer designation from GAF, the largest roofing manufacturer in North America. The GAF Certified Green Roofer program was designed in consultation with the U.S. Green Building Council in order to recognize leading roofing companies for their commitment to sustainable business practices. As part of the designation process, Affordable Solar Roofs has participated in USGBC-approved training on the many important contributions the roofing system makes to a green home, including the advanced technology behind cool roofing; techniques for improving indoor air quality via proper attic ventilation; preparing a roof for solar energy; and asphalt shingle recycling. Additionally, Affordable Solar Roofs has made a commitment to running a sustainable jobsite and has agreed to participate in their local USGBC chapter to continue enhancing their knowledge of green building practices.
Genius Kids opening soon
Morgan Hill will soon be buzzing with giggles and laughter as kids of all ages will enjoy the new campus of Genius Kids, scheduled to open March 3 at 174 W. Main Ave. in Morgan Hill. Formerly the old post office, the red “barn” is now the home to the national franchise Genius Kids, which boasts 11 campuses in the Bay Area and growing. Kamal Gill, a resident of Morgan Hill, and her son Rohan Gill are excited on their new business venture and franchise. They have spent the last three months decorating and modifying the facility. The center will focus on infants, toddlers, preschoolers and transitional and enrichment kindergartners. Pickup from local schools for after school for grades kindergarten through fifth-grade will be offered.
