Hollister police investigate 2 reported shootings

Police are investigating two separate shootings that occurred in recent days here, while there have been no suspects or victims located, according to the Hollister Police Department.

Untimed parking restricted to lots

The 90 days of free parking – through Feb. 6 – in downtown Hollister is available in city parking lots only. Street parking time limits are still in effect during the “free parking” months and are being enforced. The city council approved a resolution that suspended the time limits in the city’s downtown lots for the holiday shopping season on Nov. 5. But the timed parking enforcement remains on city streets that are posted with time limits.
