The California state Assembly approved AB 1676, a bill to correct the apportionment factors used by San Benito County to allocate property tax revenues to the Educational Revenue Augmentation Fund. The bill passed off the Assembly floor today 78-0 with overwhelming bi-partisan support.
Hollister police volunteers to cite for handicap violations
The Hollister City Council recently approved the establishment of a special enforcement unit of volunteers to monitor and write citations for illegal parking in spaces reserved for disabled drivers.
Garbage rates are on the rise

State denies $140K in RDA successor payments to HDA, EDC
Director of Development Services Bill Avera on Tuesday informed the Hollister City Council that the California Department of Finance had disapproved the $140,000 of budgeted payments from the RDA’s successor agency to the Hollister Downtown Association and Economic Development Corp.
