Hot Springs history walk, music and more
Friends of Gilroy Hot Springs, a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to preserving, restoring and protecting the former resort is holding a fundraiser on Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20 at the Hot Springs. Activities will include music, tours, historical demonstrations, old-time games and much more. A variety of vintage vehicles will be on display. Vendors will offer a selection of foods and beverages including wine. Camping opportunities will be available on a limited basis for an additional charge. The Hot Springs will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Chester is a 2-year-old Chihuahua mix who is very sweet and easy going, doesn't bark and is great on walks. He is also good with other dogs. He has been at the San Martin Animal Shelter since March. If you are interested in adopting an animal at the shelter, please call (408) 686-3900.
