The sentencing of the former San Jose policer officer from Gilroy who pleaded no contest to two counts of unlawful sexual contact with two teen boys is slated for Friday.

Sierra LaMar, 15, remains missing nine days since she was last seen before leaving to catch her bus in Morgan Hill and now the public is being asked to volunteer in a search party organized by KlaasKids Foundation that could attract hundreds of people.

A fire destroyed much of a San Juan Bautista area house Saturday afternoon, while one of the two occupants was treated for smoke inhalation.

A secondary option is to foster the animal while it resides at Pet Friends; regular visits, and spending quality play time with the animal would be a great benefit for the cat or dog, and help them become more adoptable in the future. There are cats who would become more accepting of people, with additional time spent along side of them, and dogs who are just looking to find some person to play with and befriend. Kittens and puppies who could really use a person to look up to and hang with. And it just feels good to be that special person in a cat's or dog's life.

Hollister police are looking for a woman suspected of removing money from a customer’s wallet at the local Safeway store, according to a statement from police.

Hollister police and many other regional agencies conducted a gang sweep Friday and arrested seven people, according to an announcement from police.

The California Highway Patrol has submitted its report to the district attorney in the January roadway death of Ryan McFall and has recommended charges of driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter against Hollister's Breanna Stewart, according to a CHP spokesman.
